This week, we each presented and explained to Mr. Ken the general art direction of our magazine, as well as other details. For this project, I'll be creating an animation magazine titled "Keyframe" that discusses all kinds of animation; from 2D to 3D, international to local. I started off with designing the masthead by trying out different typefaces and different combinations of symbols and frames. I took inspiration from the diamond shape of the keyframe button in the Adobe AfterEffects program.
I also decided on a few other typefaces to be used throughout the magazine.
In my presentation, I also showed several visual references from magazines that are relevant to the art direction I'm aiming towards for this project. The magazine spreads should be immersive, colourful, and dynamic to reflect its content.
